CUSTOM-DESIGNED ARCLINEA KITCHENS ARE THE CENTERPIECE OF THREE UNIQUE
CONTEMPORARY FLOOR PLANS.
Winner: Gold Award, 2007 Builders Association of Greater Boston Prism Award: Best Kitchen
$50,000 - $100,000.
The renovation of a garage in Boston’s North End produced a contemporary, three-unit condominium development. Avoiding a cookie-cutter approach, the builder/developer sought unique kitchen designs that would become the defining protagonists of each unit.
Distinct floor plans meticulously designed to provide a professional cooking experience were crafted for all three condominiums. In each, the Arclinea kitchen is open, accessible, and centrally located, uniting connected living areas.
In one unit, a multifunctional cooking/dining island bridges living and kitchen space. In a second, the kitchen is open on both sides allowing a flow of light and movement, but shielded from the adjacent dining and living areas.
The third unit features an ingenious design solution, whereby a fully functional kitchen with abundant storage also serves as graceful, elegant passage between the home’s entry area and living, dining, and sleeping spaces.
The careful placement of each of the three kitchens allows light from windows at both ends of the building to flow throughout the units. Utilizing glossy white lacquered finishes, these kitchens are the bright, happy heart of three thoroughly individual designs. |
