CREATING A KITCHEN IN A NONTRADITIONAL SPACE.
The client is a young, architectural photographer living and working in a former factory.
The kitchen was designed to match the industrial spirit of the open space, but also to create an inviting and distinct area. A functioning center island provides a focal point for the room and becomes a natural gathering place.
Selection of materials was carefully considered. Stainless steel links the kitchen to the home’s historically industrial elements, while a deep brown Wengue-finish used for the cabinetry brings warmth, accented by the use of Carrara marble and cork flooring. |
